The words “welcome home” carry new meaning in this sweet three-bedroom, two-bath charmer in Lincoln Highlands. Set on a 3,300 square-foot lot, this warm and inviting house offers 1,400 square feet of living space. A flexible floorplan, with two bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom downstairs, accommodates a variety of modern lifestyles. For example, the private downstairs bedroom and bathroom with a separate entrance is ideal for in-laws, a "shareable" situation, a guest room/office or maybe even a master suite. The layout can also facilitate indoor/outdoor entertaining; the light-filled main floor living space enjoys access to a sunny rear deck with peek-a-boo views of the Bay. A newly updated, bright white kitchen features marble countertops and appliances with designer hardware and fixtures. Charming details, such as random plank oak floors and a Wedgewood stove, give the interiors just the right amount of character. Outside, it’s easy to imagine the memories waiting to be made in the quiet lower yard and play area with an abundant edible garden featuring avocado, lemon, and lime trees along with blueberries, grape and passion fruit vines. A large lower storage room, an attached laundry and a single-car garage are other thoughtful appointments that will add to your daily enjoyment of this home. Add peace of mind with a new roof, and this home is a winner. Beyond the residence itself, the charm of the Lincoln Highlands neighborhood awaits, with friendly neighbors and close proximity to conveniences in Montclair, Glenview and new edgy restaurants like 4505 Meats, Degrees Plato, or Grand Lake Kitchen in the Laurel/Dimond. You’ll be within easy commuting distance via Highways 13 and 580, BART, the Trans Bay bus lines, and near Joaquin Miller Park for hiking, biking and recreation. You can even walk to Head Royce School or Sequoia Elementary.

Built in the 1920s and ‘30s, Oakmore was one of the earliest residential parks developed in Oakland. The residents in this neighborhood above Dimond Park once took the Key System streetcar to work in downtown Oakland and San Francisco. Homes range from large, stately Mediterranean to Spanish and contemporary homes set along winding streets, many with terraced gardens and views of the bay.
Oakmore is almost exclusively residential, but the Glenview, Dimond, and Montclair business districts are not far away. Dimond Park Recreation Center, Dimond Canyon Park, and the city-owned Montclair Golf Course border Oakmore, providing plenty of open space.
